I am currently a PhD candidate in philosophy at the University of East Anglia. My areas of specialization are philosophy of psychology, with a particular focus on philosophy of emotion, and philosophy of science. I also work on other related issues in philosophy of mind and psychology including the distinction between conceptual and non-conceptual content, the structure and function of sensory modalities, and the haunting topic of mental representation.
My other philosophical interests include questions about the epistemology of cognitive science, the nature of psychological explanations, and the explanatory value of idealized mathematical models. I indulge, as often as I can, in solving logical puzzles and discovering new things about various mathematical systems.
I spend most of my time being enthusiastic about almost everything I read and see and share it all with my partner, Andrei, who is also a Philosophy PhD student. I owe to our discussions most of my good ideas, as well as a moderate, but restless sceptical sense. Otherwise, I had the chance to study and work in various academic environments and I like to think that I made the best out of each.
